.. Feedback on our film pitch .. Meena

The feedback my new group received for our film pitch was that our presentation was good and the effort put into the pitch of our film could obviously be seen but our mistake was that we our idea was too wide in a sense that it would have been to difficult for us to produce (considering our limitations because of the equipment we have, actors, timing, etc) and it wasn't realistic enough for us to be able to create, but besides all that the idea and effort was really good and all we have to do is change/edit a few things to be given the complete green light for our film.

Even Better If...
> Change the narrative
> Change the setting
> Change the characters
> Our film needs to appeal to both genders
> We need to remember to focus on the certification of the film

Next Best Step...
> new storyline.
> new title.
> new and realistic characters
> new and realistic setting for our film
> reconsider the shots we could use in our film to show the horror genre

Feedback on our Film Pitch - Jaleesa

The feedback in which we received from our film pitch was both positive as well as negative which allowed us to rethink about the possible changes we could make to our film production. After pitching our film to a group of students, we were told that our setting for the film wasn't all that realistic and that the casting for our film would be a bit hard to find due to the characters that they would have to portray. As a group we had to sit down and reconsider what our narrative would be due to us having to change the characters. Even though it did take up a lot of time and effort into developing our narrative, as a group we realised that we would have to change our entire storyline as it was very unlikely that these new characters would fit in with our old narrative. As a result of having to change our storyline, we would also have to consider changing the title of our film due to our old one not blending in with our new narrative.

After taking into consideration all of what I learnt about our film based on what others think and discussing with my group the ways in which I think we could change it, I have summarised it into 5 EBI's and 5 NBS's which are based on what we can change within our film and how we can improve our film.

Even Better If...

* We change the narrative of our film.

* We change the characters.

* We change the setting.

* We focus on the certification of our film.

* We ensure that our film appeals to both genders.

Next Best Steps...

* Come up with a new storyline.

* Come up with a new title.

* Think about the characters that we will use, to ensure that our film appeals to both genders and that it brings in our target audience.

* Think of the setting for our film which will appear as being realistic as well as being able to relate well with our narrative.

* Think of a range of shots we could use in order to show the characters' facial expressions and body language.

Feedback on our Pitch - Amal

The feedback we received from our pitch was both positive as well as negative, although this did vary from a range constuctive feedback. After considering and discussing the feedback we have received our main objection in our film was the charaters and setting that we needed to change. Although it did take a lot of time and effort in creating our storyline, we did need to change the characters and make it as realistic as possible. After hearing this our group decided to alter the whole storyline as it did not match with the new characters we have created, thus resulting in a new narrative and setting and of course a new film title. After taking this into consideration and discussing this with my group we have come up with things that we will change and need to improve, so below I have listed 5 EBI and 5 NSB.

Even Better If
  • Change the narrative
  • Change the setting
  • Change the characters
  • Our film needs to appeal to both genders
  • We need to remember to focus on the certification of the film
Next Best Step
  • We need to come up with a new storyline
  • Think about a range of characters to use, that will appeal to both our genders
  • The setting has to relate with the narrative as well as being realistic
  • Think of a range of shots we should use to portray different aspects characters
  • Sum up an overview of everything we have considered and take to action by starting our production
